Chapter 2
2Unto—the—messenger—of—the—church—of—Ephesus—write;—These—things—says—he—who—holds—the—seven—stars—in—his—right—hand,—who—walks—in—the—midst—of—the—seven—golden—lampstands;—
2I—know—thy—works,—and—thy—labor,—and—thy—patience,—and—how—you—can—not—bear—those—who—are—evil:—and—you—have—tested—those—who—say—they—are—apostles,—and—are—not,—and—have—found—them—liars:—
3And—have—patience,—and—have—borne—for—my—name’s—sake,—and—have—not—become—weary.—
4Nevertheless,—I—have—this—against—you,—because—the—love—that—you—had—at—first,—you—leftˡ.—
5Remember—therefore—from—where—you—have—fallen,—and—repent,—and—do—the—first—works;—or—else—I—will—come—unto—you,—and—will—move—thy—lampstand—out—of—its—place,—except—you—repent.—
6But—this—you—have,—that—you—hate—the—works—of—the—Nicolaitans,—which—I—also—hate.—
7He—who—has—an—ear,—let—him—hear—what—the—Spirit—says—unto—the—churches;—To—him—who—overcomes—will—I—give—to—eat—of—the—treeˣ—of—life,—which—is—in—the—paradise—of—God.—
8And—unto—the—messenger—of—the—church—in—Smyrna—write;—These—things—says—the—first—and—the—last,—who—became—dead,—and—lived;—
9I—know—thy—tribulation,—and—thy—poverty,—(but—you—are—rich)—and—I—know—the—blasphemy—of—those—who—say—they—are—Jews,—and—are—not,—but—are—the—synagogue—of—Satan.—
10Fear—not—those—things—which—you—are—about—to—suffer:—behold,—the—devil—is—about—to—cast—some—of—you—into—prison,—that—you—all—may—be—tested;—and—you—all—shall—have—tribulation—ten—days.—Be—faithful—unto—death,—and—I—will—give—you—the—crown—of—life.—
11He—who—has—an—ear,—let—him—hear—what—the—Spirit—says—unto—the—churches;—He—who—overcomes—shall—in—no—way—be—hurt—of—the—second—death.—
12And—to—the—messenger—of—the—church—in—Pergamum—write;—These—things—says—he—who—has—the—sharp—sword—with—two—edges;—
13I—know—where—you—dwell,—even—where—Satan’s—throne—is:—and—you—hold—fast—my—name,—and—have—not—denied—my—faith,—even—the—days—in—which—Antipas—was—my—faithful—witness,—who—was—killed—among—you,—where—Satan—dwells.—
14But—I—have—a—little—against—you,—because—you—have—some—there—who—hold—the—doctrine—of—Balaam,—who—taught—Balac—to—cast—a—stumbling—block—before—the—sons—of—Israel,—to—eat—things—sacrificed—unto—idols,—and—to—commit—fornication.—
15So—also—you—have—some—who—hold—the—doctrine—of—the—Nicolaitans,—likewise.—
16Repent—therefore;—or—else—I—will—come—unto—you—quickly—and—will—war—with—them—with—the—sword—of—my—mouth.—
17He—who—has—an—ear,—let—him—hear—what—the—Spirit—says—unto—the—churches;—To—him—who—overcomes—will—I—give—of—the—hidden—manna,—and—will—give—him—a—white—stone,—and—in—the—stone—a—new—name—written,—which—none—knows—saving—he—who—receives—it.—
18And—unto—the—messenger—of—the—church—in—Thyatira—write;—These—things—says—the—Son—of—God,—who—has—his—eyes—as—a—flame—of—fire,—and—whose—feet—are—like—brilliant—bronze;—
19I—know—thy—works,—and—thy—love,—and—thy—faith,—and—thy—service,—and—thy—patience,—and—thy—last—works—are—more—than—the—first.—
20Notwithstanding,—I—have—this—against—you,—that—you—allowˡ—the—woman—Jezebel,—who—calls—herself—a—prophetess,—and—she—teaches—and—deceives—my—bond-servants—to—commit—fornication,—and—to—eat—things—sacrificed—unto—idols.—
21And—I—gave—her—a—season—to—repent,—but—she—desires—not—to—repent—of—her—fornication.—
22Behold,—I—will—cast—her—into—a—bed,—and—those—who—commit—adultery—with—her—into—great—tribulation,—except—they—repent—of—their—works.—
23And—I—will—kill—her—children—with—death;—and—all—the—churches—shall—knowᵍ—that—I—am—he—who—searches—the—innermost—parts—and—hearts:—and—I—will—give—unto—every—one—of—you—according—to—your—works.—
24But—unto—the—restʳ—of—you—in—Thyatira,—as—many—as—have—not—this—doctrine,—and—who—have—not—knownᵍ—the—depths—of—Satan,—to—you—I—say,—I—will—cast—upon—you—no—other—burden.—
25But—that—which—you—all—have—hold—fast—till—I—come.—
26And—he—who—overcomes,—and—who—keeps—my—works—unto—the—end,—to—him—will—I—give—power—over—the—nations:—
27And—he—shall—ruleˢ—them—with—a—rod—of—iron;—as—the—vessels—of—a—potter—shall—they—be—broken—to—shivers:—even—as—I—received—of—my—Father.—
28And—I—will—give—him—the—morning—star.—
29He—who—has—an—ear,—let—him—hear—what—the—Spirit—says—unto—the—churches.—
