Chapter 14

14AndIsaw,and,behold,theLambstoodonthemountainZion,andwithhimahundredfortyandfourthousand,havinghisnameandthenameoftheFatherwrittenupontheirforeheads.
2AndIheardavoicefromheaven,asthevoiceofmanywaters,andasthevoiceofagreatthunder:andthevoiceIheardwas[as]harpersharpingwiththeirharps:
3Andtheysung[asitwere]anewsongbeforethethrone,andbeforethefourcreatures,andtheelders:andnonecouldlearnthesongbutthehundredandfortyandfourthousand,whowereboughtfromtheearth.
4Thesearethosewhowerenotdefiledwithwomen;fortheyarevirgins.ThesearetheywhofollowtheLambwhereverhegoes.Thesewereboughtfromamongthemen,beingthefirstfruitsuntoGodandtotheLamb.
5Andintheirmouthwasfoundnolie:fortheyarewithoutfault.
6AndIsawanothermessengerflyinmidheaven,havinganeverlastinggospeltoannounceuntothosewhositontheearth,andtoeverynation,andtribe,andtongue,andpeople,
7Sayingwithagreatvoice,FearGod,andgiveglorytohim;forthehourofhisjudgmentiscome:andworshiphimwhomadeheaven,andtheearth,andsea,andfountainsofwaters.
8Andanothermessenger,asecondfollowed,saying,isfallen,isfallenBabylonthegreat,shewhomadeallthenationsdrinkofthewineofthefuryofherfornication.
9Andanothermessenger,athird,followedthem,sayingwithagreatvoice,Ifanymanworshipthebeastandhisimage,andreceivehismarkuponhisforehead,oruponhishand,
10ThesameshalldrinkofthewineofthefuryofGod,whichispouredoutwithoutmixtureintothecupofhiswrath;andheshallbetormentedwithfireandbrimstoneinthepresenceoftheholymessengers,andinthepresenceoftheLamb:
11Andthesmokeoftheirtormentascendsforeverandever:andtheyhavenorestdaynornight,whoworshipthebeastandhisimage,andwhosoeverreceivesthemarkofhisname.
12Hereisthepatienceofthesaintsⁱ:theywhokeepthecommandmentsofGod,andthefaithofJesus.
13AndIheardavoicefromheavensaying,Write,BlessedarethedeadwhodieintheLordfromhenceforth:Yes,saystheSpirit,thattheymayrestfromtheirlabors;andtheirworksdofollowwiththem.
14AndIsaw,andbeholdawhitecloud,anduponthecloudonesatlikeaSonofman,havingonhisheadagoldencrown,andinhishandasharpsickle.
15Andanothermessengercameoutofthetemple,cryingwithagreatvoicetohimwhosatonthecloud,Sendthysickle,andreap:forthehouriscometoreap;fortheharvestoftheearthisdried.
16Andhewhosatonthecloudcastinhissickleontheearth;andtheearthwasreaped.
17Andanothermessengercameoutofthetemplewhichisinheaven,healsohavingasharpsickle.
18Andanothermessengercameoutfromthealtar,whohaspoweroverthefire;andsoundedwithagreatvoicetohimwhohadthesharpsickle,saying,Sendthysharpsickle,andgatherᵗtheclustersofthevineoftheearth;forhergrapesarefullyripe.
19Andthemessengercastinhissickleintotheearth,andgatheredᵗthevineoftheearth,andcastitintothegreatwinepressofthefuryofGod.
20Andthewinepresswastroddenoutsidethecity,andbloodcameoutofthewinepress,evenuntothebridlesofthehorses,bythespaceofathousandandsixhundredfurlongs.
