Chapter 14

14AndIsaw,and,behold,theLambstoodonthemountainZionandwithhimahundredfortyandfourthousand,havinghisnameandthenameoftheFatherwrittenupontheirforeheads.
2AndIheardavoicefromheaven,asthevoiceofmanywatersandasthevoiceofagreatthunder,andthevoiceIheardwas[as]harpersharpingwiththeirharps.
3Andtheysangⁿ[asitwere]anewsongbeforethethrone,andbeforethefourcreatures,andtheelders,andnonecouldlearnthesongbutthehundredandfortyandfourthousand,whowereboughtfromtheearth.
4Thesearethosewhowerenotdefiledwithwomen,fortheyarevirgins.ThesearetheywhofollowtheLambwhereverhegoes.Thesewereboughtfromamongthemen,beingthefirstfruitsuntoGodandtotheLamb.
5Andintheirmouthwasfoundnolie,fortheyarewithoutfault.
6AndIsawanothermessengerflyinmidheaven,havinganeverlastinggospeltoannounceuntothosewhositontheearth,andtoeverynation,andtribe,andtongue,andpeople,
7sayingwithagreatvoice,“FearGodandgiveglorytohim,forthehourofhisjudgmenthascome,andworshiphimwhomadeheaven,andtheearth,andsea,andfountainsofwaters.”
8Andanothermessenger,asecondfollowed,saying,“Isfallen,isfallenBabylonthegreat,shewhomadeallthenationsdrinkofthewineofthefuryofherfornication.”
9Andanothermessenger,athird,followedthem,sayingwithagreatvoice,“Ifanymanworshipthebeastandhisimageandreceivehismarkuponhisforehead,oruponhishand,
10andthesameshalldrinkofthewineofthefuryofGod,whichispouredoutwithoutmixtureintothecupofhiswrath,andheshallbetormentedwithfireandbrimstoneinthepresenceoftheholymessengersandinthepresenceoftheLamb.
11Andthesmokeoftheirtormentascendsforeverandever,andtheyhavenorestdaynornight,whoworshipthebeastandhisimage,andwhosoeverreceivesthemarkofhisname.”
12Hereisthepatienceofthesaintsⁱ,theywhokeepthecommandmentsofGodandthefaithofJesus.
13AndIheardavoicefromheavensaying,“Write,BlessedarethedeadwhodieintheLordfromhenceforth.”“Yes,”saystheSpirit,“thattheymayrestfromtheirlabors,fortheirworksdofollowwiththem.”
14AndIsaw,andbeholdawhitecloud,anduponthecloudonesatlikeaSonofman,havingonhisheadagoldencrown,andinhishandasharpsickle.
15Andanothermessengercameoutofthetemple,cryingwithagreatvoicetohimwhosatonthecloud,“Sendthysickleandreap,forthehourhascometoreap,fortheharvestoftheearthisdried.”
16Andhewhosatonthecloudcastinhissickleontheearth,andtheearthwasreaped.
17Andanothermessengercameoutofthetemplewhichisinheaven,healsohavingasharpsickle.
18Andanothermessengercameoutfromthealtar,whohaspoweroverthefire,andsoundedwithagreatvoicetohimwhohadthesharpsickle,saying,“Sendthysharpsickleandgatherᵗtheclustersofthevineoftheearth,forhergrapesarefullyripe.”
19Andthemessengercastinhissickleintotheearth,andgatheredᵗthevineoftheearth,andcastitintothegreatwinepressofthefuryofGod.
20Andthewinepresswastroddenoutsidethecity,andbloodcameoutofthewinepress,evenuntothebridlesofthehorses,bythespaceofathousandandsixhundredfurlongs.
