3Blessed is1μακάριοςhe2ὁwho reads,3ἀναγινώσκωνand4καὶthey who5οἱhear6ἀκούοντεςthe7τοὺςwords8λόγουςof—the9τῆςprophecy10προφητείαςand11καὶkeep12τηροῦντεςthose things which13τὰare written16γεγραμμέναin14ἐνit15αὐτῇfor18γὰρthe17ὁtime19καιρὸςis near.20ἐγγύς
4John1Ἰωάννηςto the2ταῖςseven3ἑπτὰchurches4ἐκκλησίαιςthat are5ταῖςin6ἐνAsia:7,8τῇ ἈσίᾳGrace9χάριςbe unto you,10ὑμῖνand11καὶpeace,12εἰρήνηfrom13ἀπὸhim who14ὁis,15ὢνand16καὶwho17ὁwas,18ἦνand19καὶwho20ὁis to come;21ἐρχόμενοςand22καὶfrom23ἀπὸthe24τῶνseven25ἑπτὰSpirits26πνευμάτωνwho27ἃare before28ἐνώπιονhis31αὐτοῦthrone;29,30τοῦ θρόνου
5and1καὶfrom2ἀπὸJesus3ἸησοῦChrist,4Χριστοῦwho—is—the—faithful—witness,—the—firstborn—of—the—dead,—and—the—ruler—of—the—kings—of—the—earth.—Unto—him—who—loves—us—and—released—us—from—our—sins—by—his—blood,—
6and—has—made—us—a—kingdom,—priests—unto—his—God—and—Father;—to—him—be—the—glory—and—the—dominion—unto—the—ages—of—the—ages.—Amen.—
7Behold,—he—is—coming—with—the—clouds;—and—every—eye—shall—see—him,—and—they—also—who—pierced—him;—and—all—the—tribes—of—the—earth—shall—wail—because—of—him.—Yes,—Amen.—
8“I—am—the—Alpha—and—the—Omega,”—says—the—Lord—God,—“who—is,—and—who—was,—and—who—is—to—come,—the—Almighty.”—
9I,—John,—your—brother,—and—fellow—partaker—in—the—tribulation,—and—kingdom,—and—patience—of—Jesus,—was—in—the—island—that—is—called—Patmos,—for—the—word—of—God—and—for—the—testimony—of—Jesus.—
10I—was—in—the—Spirit—on—the—Lord’s—day—and—heard—behindᵒ—me—a—great—voice,—as—of—a—trumpet,—
11saying,—“What—you—see,—write—in—a—book—and—send—it—unto—the—seven—churches;—unto—Ephesus,—and—unto—Smyrna,—and—unto—Pergamum,—and—unto—Thyatira,—and—unto—Sardis,—and—unto—Philadelphia,—and—unto—Laodicea.”—
12And—I—turned—to—see—the—voice—that—spoke—with—me.—And—being—turned,—I—saw—seven—golden—lampstands;—
13and—in—the—midst—of—the—lampstands—one—like—a—Son—of—man,—dressed—in—a—robe—down—to—the—foot—and—girded—about—the—chest—with—a—golden—belt;—
14his—head—and—his—hairs—were—white—as—wool,—white—as—snow;—and—his—eyes—were—as—a—flame—of—fire;—
15and—his—feet—like—brilliant—bronze,—as—if—they—were—made—a—fiery—glowᶠ—in—a—furnace;—and—his—voice—as—the—voice—of—many—waters.—
16And—he—had—in—his—right—hand—seven—stars,—and—out—of—his—mouth—proceeded—a—sharp—two-edged—sword,—and—his—countenance—was—as—the—sun—shines—in—his—might.—
17And—when—I—saw—him,—I—fell—at—his—feet—as—dead.—And—he—placed—his—right—hand—upon—me,—saying,—“Fear—not;—I—am—the—first—and—the—last:—
18and—he—who—lives—and—became—dead;—and,—behold,—I—am—alive—unto—the—ages—of—the—ages;—and—have—the—keys—of—death—and—of—hell.—
19Write—therefore—the—things—which—you—have—seen,—and—the—things—which—are,—and—the—things—which—are—about—to—be—after—this;—
20the—mystery—of—the—seven—stars—which—you—saw—upon—my—right—hand—and—the—seven—golden—lampstands.—The—seven—stars—are—the—messengers—of—the—seven—churches,—and—the—seven—lampstands—are—the—seven—churches.”—
